Planet Claire

With an other-worldy look, Planet Claire is an abstract landscape created with encaustic paint and shellac. A dynamic sky seems to spill over blue and purple mountains, above multi-colored strata. Layers of reticulated amber, white, and black shellac can be seen beneath translucent layers of encaustic wax, giving an incomparable depth to the scene.
